About Julie Alsaker
25 years of work. One mission. A framework that finally gives Complex and Mixed Mind women the biological truth about how they're built.
I have ADHD. That's what they called it. A disorder. Something to be managed, medicated, apologised for. A deficit where I saw depth. A problem where I felt capacity.
I spent years inside systems that weren't built for me, wondering why the same effort that produced extraordinary results some days produced nothing on others. Wondering why I could hyperfocus for eight hours and not be able to start a simple task the next morning. Wondering why the sensitivity that made me exceptional in some rooms felt like a liability in others.
I didn't accept the label. Not because I was in denial. Because I knew, even then, that what they were calling a disorder was the same thing that made me remarkable in the right conditions. The diagnosis named a symptom. It said nothing about the architecture.
When I discovered my genetics and learned to interpret what was actually happening in my biology, everything changed. Not gradually. Immediately.
The night and day difference since discovering and interpreting my genetics is blinding. I can deal with things that would have broken me. I have a baseline of joy even in hard circumstances. Life didn't get easy. It just feels right. I feel free and real in a way I never knew was possible.
Julie AlsakerNot manage it. Not cope with it. Prevent it.
I became a traditional naturopath, a medical interpreter, a genetics specialist, all in service of one question: what does the body actually need, and how do we give it that instead of fighting it?
The Designed Different framework is the most direct fulfilment of that mission I have ever produced. Because the women who need it most are burning out, or never starting, believing this is simply how they are. Believing the label. Accepting the limitation.
How many women are living a fraction of the life available to them because no one ever told them their architecture was the asset, not the problem?
That question drives every piece of work I produce. This book. This framework. This analysis. This community. All of it is the answer.
The Designed Different framework and book give Complex and Mixed Mind women the language, the science, and the design tools to understand their architecture and build a life that actually fits. This is where most women begin.
The GENEIUS Spectrum Analysis translates your genetics into a personalised biological map. The Complexity Report gives you the nervous system picture. The Full Analysis gives you the complete blueprint. No guesswork. No approximations. Biological certainty.
The GENEIUS Collective is a weekly gathering of Complex and Mixed Mind women doing the work together. Live with Julie every Monday. A place to belong that was built around how you actually process, not how the world expects you to.
Julie Alsaker is a Holistic Genetic Specialist and holistic practitioner working at the intersection of genetics, nervous system science, and whole-person wellness. This work is educational and informational in nature. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
The women who find this work aren't stumbling onto it randomly. They arrive because something in them has always known they process differently. They've tried the systems. They've read the books. They've wondered, quietly, if this is just how it is.
It isn't. And the quiz is where you start to find out what it actually is.
Three minutes. Real answers. A starting point that changes everything.
